Hello family, community, tribe.
Greetings, I hope you all are in the best of health and safety in these challenging and intense times and we hope this letter finds you well and brings a glimmer of hope. Before we go into Tribal Vision’s transformations, I would like it if you read this prophecy that has touched my heart since I was a young fellow and I feel is more relevant to these times than ever before...thank you for your presence.
You have been telling people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered...
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for your leader.
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word ’struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
--Hopi Elders' Prophecy, June 8, 2000
We would like to emphasize mindfulness around the COVID crisis and how this pandemic has adversely affected so many, especially marginalized populations, and would like people to feel safe in these times. We believe caring for our elders and immune-compromised comrades is of utmost importance. On Wednesday, March 10th the mask mandate in Texas will be lifted, however social distancing will be honored throughout the in-person event for folks still wearing masks. Consent is key.
Though we feel that these times are especially important for maintaining human connection and holding ceremonies, we honor the choice to stay at home and pray with us from there. If you are not able to make it out in person to share prayer, wisdom, and loving intentions, we would love for you to still be involved. We invite you to pre-record your words, intentions and prayers and send those videos in to tiggs.kneadpeace@gmail.com ASAP so we can bring you to Texas virtually, and fit them into the production schedule where they will be played on screen at the event. We appreciate your support and hope you can be a part of keeping these traditions and intentions alive and thriving in our world.
Tribal Vision is happening in a new light…
We will be holding this year’s Spring Equinox festival, honoring world water day at the Texas Music Ranch in Austin Texas March 18-21st, 2021. Because of the nature of the times, the festival will be changing its structure. The following are a few of these changes:
We will create a permanent community space where all people are equal.
Instead of a traditional festival environment, we will hold space for permanence and sustainability in the forms of off-grid homesteading, sustainable coexistence, skill-share and training grounds.
We will no longer create privileged areas for our musicians or volunteers.
In the past, there have been privileged areas for musicians and volunteers, which we find inherently creates a hierarchical environment. We seek to build a healthy, balanced future of the community and will no longer be facilitating unhealthy power dynamics. (Due to COVID, immune-compromised people and/or elders may request private space).
We will accept donations of food, fruit trees, and/or labor instead of the US dollar as an entrance fee.
In these times especially, the food supply chain and corporate commerce are unstable and obsolete. We need to create better, more sustainable systems for our future livelihood and coexistence with Mother Nature. With the potential of austerities and/or federal bankruptcy, we are shifting to a trade-based economy. We will facilitate a barter and trade experience and skill-share community in place of commerce vending. Recommended donation 30lbs of food.
We will promote in a grass-roots effort through word-of-mouth and hand-bills.
Social media will not be used this year for promotion
Call to action
To make Tribal Vision possible this year, we need:
Indigenous and spiritual leaders providing prayer, traditional ceremonies, sharing of customs
Coordinators for workshop, elders, music, kids village, dance, sanitation, recycling, etc.
To atend Volunteers are Needed
We need helpers to move on site as soon as possible for set-up work. There is a community kitchen being built to sustain the Ranch Community after we’re gone, plenty of temporary and/or permanent dwelling space, and lots of potential for permanence.
Attendees may pay their way through 2+hours of work-trade and food donations of 30+lbs of preferably organic produce, staple goods, spices, oils, and non perishables. Please sign up as a volunteer thru the website if you would like to attendn @ http://Tribalvisionfestival.com/new-events
We are ever so grateful for this intentional community and what it shares with the world. Thank you for your continued support.
